Flashback Friday

My great grandmother, known as Granny to my Mother and her many, many cousins. She died when I was an infant, so I never knew her. But I know that my Mother and her cousins all felt about her, like I feel about my Granny. I guess being an awesome Granny just runs in the family.

Jennifer & Nikos Chic & Geek Plano Engagement Session!
You might have a hard time believing it, but I actually DID keep this post image light.. This session was so jam packed with awesome that it was hard enough for me to choose my keepers, much less narrow it down even more to the blog images!
Jennifer & Nikos are friend's of Lisa & John, who you just saw on the blog last week. Jennifer contacted me after seeing Lisa's engagement photos, saying they had already booked their wedding photographer for their Austin wedding next year, but would love to shoot engagement photos with me. I'm so glad they did! We had lots of fun. As you can tell, these two are completely gorgeous and natural in front of the camera - even if they may claim to be awkward in front of it. ;) I think they were just trying to be modest!
First, we hit up an urban location for a little bit of chic (including Jennifer's killer red shoes!) and then we headed to a beautiful natural spot for some relaxed shots with some fun geeky touches.
Enjoy!

Aren't they adorable?

You can never go wrong with sexy red shoes.

Tyra would be proud.

Not just any old sock monkey.. but a SPOCK monkey. Win.

Love it.

Gorgeous!

Also gorgeous.. in that manly way, of course. :)

Thanks so much for looking and have a wonderful Halloween weekend!

Jenn & Ricky's Nighttime Dallas Arboretum Wedding!
After getting ready at the hotel, we headed off to the Dallas Arboretum for the ceremony. The weather was absolutely perfect for an outdoor ceremony! Not hot or sticky, which is pretty awesome here in Texas. We had a few minutes to grab some portraits of Jenn and Ricky before the ceremony and then it was marrying time!

Aren't they so sweet?

The entrance into the sunken garden framed Jenn beautifully.

You can tell this was a VERY serious wedding.. :) Laughter is always my favorite part of a ceremony.

Yay married!

We squeezed in a few after dark portraits before the Arboretum had to close.

Thanks so much to Jenn & Ricky for having us capture your wedding! And to my blog readers.. stay tuned because you will be seeing even more of this adorable pair coming up soon!
