France, day six - D-Day Beaches and Mont St Michel

On day six we headed out to see the D-Day beaches and the American cemetery. It was a very moving experience. To stand in the middle of the cemetery, among rows of crosses, and imagine them as young men instead.. was just humbling, to say the least.

After the D-Day beaches, we headed out toward Mont St Michel, an abby and small town that used to be an actual island, but is now currently more of a peninsula.


On the way we saw a huge, almost unending field of sheep!








By the time we checked in (we had a hotel snafu!) and ate, it was pretty overcast and chilly, but the clouds were amazing.
