Tiffany, Jesus, Kiana and Kiran - Rockstar family lifestyle session in Frisco!

I had so much fun shooting this gorgeous family last week! We were a little worried about the weather - and we did get sprinkled on a little bit - but it all worked out in the end. Kiana and Kiran are two of the cutest little kids I've ever seen, and they were in such great moods. You can just see the love this family has for one another.

What I love is that Kiana kissed her little brother of her own free will, nobody told her too. What a sweetie.


It was actually raining on us a little here, so we left the kids in Sara's trusty hands under cover and we ran off to shoot some pictures of Tiffany and Jesus on their own.


No wonder their kiddos are so cute!

Insane Excited Music Video Friday: Depeche Mode!!

Why does quality custom photography cost 'so much'?

We've all been affected by the current economy to some degree. We're all on a budget of some sort. Everybody is looking for ways to save money - and that includes planning their weddings! I am a big fan of DIY and finding ways to save money, but I believe photography should be one of those things you don't cut corners on. Brian and I had a relatively small budget for our own wedding, and we spent nearly one third of our budget on our photography - because it was such a priority for us. One of my good friends (and bridesmaids) had a tiny little budget, and she also spent a third on HER photography. I know that not everybody is going to dedicate that large of a percentage to their photography, but the cliche of it being the only thing left is very true.

Instead of me taking the time to write up the reasons photography costs what it does, let me just point you to a few people who already took the time. :)

What happens after it's all said and done?

I have been meaning.. forever.. to take photos of one of our wedding client's finished disks before I hand them over. I finally did it, yay!
