this is what I believe

Everybody is a rockstar. You already know that this is what I say, but what does it mean? Why did I choose it as my image?

First and foremost, I love music. It’s more than love. I can’t live without it. I use music as an emotional release; I can find music that matches any mood I can possibly find myself in. I listen to music almost every waking minute of the day. It moves me, and it has since the day I was born. You can ask my Mother, she’ll tell you it’s true.

Outside of my undying love for music, I use the term rockstar to really mean “awesome person”. But I can break it down for you, so you can see it as I do.

A rockstar loves themselves. It’s okay to love yourself, in fact, I don’t believe that you can truly love someone else unless you love yourself first. Loving yourself doesn’t mean thinking you’re better than everybody else, it simply means you recognize your value as a human being.

A rockstar loves the people around them. Love your family, your friends. Be kind to random strangers on the street. Hold the door open for people coming in behind you. Show respect to everybody.

A rockstar lives their life with passion. Get out there and do what you want. Tradition be damned. It is your life, and you are free to choose your own path. Laugh, love, and live with a limitless passion. Give 110% in everything you do.

A rockstar appreciates everyday beauty. A rockstar is an individual. A rockstar stands up for what they believe in. Rockstars can smile a goofy smile one minute and be deadly sexy the next. They are beyond definition. They are simply awesome.

So what about you? Are you a rockstar?

I don't know if I'm a rockstar. But I love this mission statement-y post. :)
